Welcome to Year 1/2 M

In class 1-2M there are 27 children, including two new children who have recently moved into the area. At the beginning of term the children decided the rules for their class. Each week a rule is chosen to focus on, for example being kind to other children .Praise and rewards are given for such behaviour.

These are pictures of the new School Council Representative  ,who were voted for by all members of the class. They will attend School Council meetings and report back.

As part of our literacy unit on instructions, the children had fun making and eating sandwiches, made musical shakers, and made lantterns and masks.The children then gave verbal instructions to each other and wrote  instructions for others to follow.

Our new literacy unit is, Fantasy Stories. Here the children are making a rocket to use as part of their role play activities. They have decided what equipment is needed in the rocket, for example a map, first aid kit , tool kit for engine failure, food and drink and a teddy bear in case they get lonely !
