Residential Experiences
We currently offer two residential experiences to children in Years 5 and 6. These play a really important role in developing children's independence and social skills. Over the two years, children will be involved in two very different experiences; this year the visit will be based at Okehampton Youth Hostel, and will link to the Geography curriculum through river studies, and will also involve a wide range of outdoor activities. Children and parents are fully involved in planning and fund-raising for the trips, and your child's safety is of paramount importance. We use comprehensive risk assessment systems, and ensure that the adult:child ratio is significantly better than the recommended minimum.
