Dear Parents,

 

 

RNLI

 

  

Thank-you for your very generous support for our RNLI week, and fund-raising day. We raised a total of £306.98, which is fantastic. I will be taking a group of children back to the lifeboat station later this week, to present the lifeboat crew with the cheque.

 

 

Palm Radio

 

  

Palm FM are running a series on walking to school, and they have asked us to be involved. A presenter and two characters will be outside the school on Monday morning – they will be handing out free gifts and talking to parents and children about walking to school.

 

 

Security

 

  

We are working hard to make sure that the school is secure at all times, and that the only way into the school during the day is through the main entrance. We lock the rear doors to the school at 9.00 am to help with this. Unfortunately, some people are letting themselves out of school through these doors after dropping off their children. This means that the doors are unlocked at times when we think they are secure. Could I please ask for your co-operation in leaving the school only through the main entrance after 9.00, or if the back doors are already locked. I am sure you understand the need for this. Obviously, parents dropping children at the Nursery can continue to use the Nursery entrance.

 

 

Finally, just a reminder that the school closes for half-term at the end of Friday February 15^th and re-opens on Monday February 25^th.
